Providing Electrical & Mechanical Services throughout the UK and Ireland for over 20 years
Grove Electrical and Mechanical Services was founded in 2015 by Jonathan Reid and Richard Harrison, both with over 20 + years each in the industry and driving GEM to provided a wide range of electrical, mechanical, facilities management & servicing to both public and private sector clients throughout the UK & Ireland.
Our team ethos of trust, competency, and loyalty underpins all works undertaken and have been the contributing factors in the ambitious growth of our business and the impeccable reputation for quality and safety we enjoy today. An organically built client base spans across the UK and Ireland, and our 30 + strong team dedicate themselves to three key requirements on every project:

NICEIC APPROVED ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR Grove Electrical & Mechanical Services is recognised as an approved contractor which enables us to carry out all electrical installation and maintenance to BS7671 (IET Wiring Regulations).
SAFE T CERT is a third party safety management audit system. Safe T Cert helps Grove Electrical & Mechanical Services keep up to date with changes in construction safety and ensure all our workers go home safe, which is paramount.
SILVER MEMBERSHIP has been designed to allow GEMS Ltd to meet the PAS 91 standard ( Public Availability Specification for prequalification questionnaires in construction-related procurement) all within a platform that will open opportunities to help our business to grow.
NVIR-O-CERT is an environmental management system and auditing scheme.
SAFE ELECTRICS primary objective is to protect the safety interests of customers with respect to electrical installation activities in the Republic of Ireland. SPARK SAFE membership is linked to the PQQ, ITT and contract award requirements of Client Organisations.
BAFE is the independent registration body for third party certified fire protection companies across the UK. A national independent register of quality fire safety service providers.

Richard Harrison
Managing Director
20 + years in Electrical Installation & Maintenance (NICEIC & RECI Duty Principal Holder)
Richard began his electrical career with the creation of Harrison Electrical, a brand synonymous with high quality and efficiency for over a decade. Here he garnished a vast knowledge in all types of electrical installation & maintenance, and grew an extensive returning customer base. Hungry to build his opportunities further, Richard became Managing Director with GEMS Ltd from inception. Years of experience in the industry ensure Richard drives the company to greater levels of efficiency & quality across all projects. Richard’s core daily duties are management of all quotations, job estimating and project management.
Jonathan Reid
Managing Director
20 + years in Electrical Installation
(NICEIC Duty Principal Holder)
After a decade of electrical contracting experience, Jonathan knew the time was right to build his own brand and Grove Electrical Services Ltd was born. Qualified in Electrical Engineering to HNC Level 4, Jonathan built a reputation for high standards, excellent health & safety records, and project management skills. Combining this expertise with Richard, Grove Electrical & Mechanical Services Ltd was created. Jonathan’s core daily duties are to drive the business forward, manage staff, H&S and project management.
Deborah Martin
Office Manager
Overseeing accounts, invoicing, customer enquiries and general office duties, Deborah engages her 30 + years industry experience to ensure all customer and supplier interactions with GEMS Ltd are accurate and of a consistently high quality.
Anne Douglas
Accountant
Anne oversees and is responsible for all accountancy requirements. Trained in Auditing, Accounting and Tax, Anne adds a wealth of over 15 years accountancy experience to the GEMS Ltd team.
William McCullagh
Operations Manager
Managing overall operation and is responsible for the effective and successful management of labour, productivity, quality control, safety measure and ensuring efficient operations & serving as the representative on regulatory issues.
Hayley Burgess
Health & Safety Consultant
Ensuring consistently high levels of health & safety, HBSC take pride in providing site visits, compliance, RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements), and consultation to GEMS. Our impeccable H&S record is credit to BBSC’s vast knowledge and understanding of what we do.
Paul Gwynne
Business Development & Marketing
Working alongside Jonathan, Paul oversees and develops GEM’s strategic business goals and marketing objectives whilst providing visual support for a range of advertising and compliance requirements.
Mark Dunne
Contracts Manager
Producing plans and estimating budgets and timescales. Discussing, drafting, reviewing and negotiating the terms of business contracts. Agreeing budgets and timescales with the clients. Managing construction schedules , budgets & over seeing construction projects.
